🚨Action Alert: Can You Help Collect Signatures?

Nature for Massachusetts logo

One of the best ways to protect rivers is to protect the land around them. That's why Mass Rivers is part of the Nature for Massachusetts Coalition working on a campaign to allocate a portion of the existing sporting goods sales tax to create a dedicated, annual revenue stream to conserve water, land, urban greenspace, outdoor recreation access, and wildlife in Massachusetts. We need your help!

We're urging the State Legislature to pass the Nature for All bill (H.901/S.2571), and we are also pursuing the Protect Water and Nature Initiative as a question on the November 2026 ballot.

This is where you come in. This week, the entire coalition begins the first phase of the Protect Water and Nature Initiative, and we need your help to collect over 100,000 signatures by mid-November. Here's how you can help:

  1. Sign up for a signature collection training ASAP.

  2. Let Mass Rivers know if you will help with signature collection here. Every bit helps!

  3. Identify outreach opportunities such as: encouraging your supporters to show up at your office and sign, collecting signatures at your organization's events, collecting signatures out and about. When you sign up, the coalition will help connect you with events.

  4. Pick up ballot sheets from select locations or Mass Rivers' Office and get collecting!

Learn more about the ballot initiative here. We are hoping that together, we can contribute 2,500 signatures towards the campaign. But to do that we need your help. Thank you for your continued support.
