About the event

In 2020, the Edenville Dam in Michigan failed catastrophically, flooding a Superfund site downstream. An investigation from Undark magazine identified 81 other aging dams around the country that could also threaten toxic waste sites if they were to fail. Science and environmental journalist James Dinneen will discuss the project, and how to gather information about dams from state and federal officials.
