Katharine Lange

Policy Director

Katharine works directly with legislators to craft and advance state legislation to improve the environment and local climate resilience, and to increase funding to the state agencies who steward our lands and waters. She helps craft comments on state and federal regulations, and she shares important policy updates with our member organizations and the public.

Katharine attended the University of Connecticut for her BA in Political Science and Human Rights and for her Master’s in Public Administration. She previously did state level policy work for the Connecticut Land Conservation Council and Save the Sound.

Katharine is from beautiful eastern Connecticut and loves being outside, including biking around town and dipping in any clean river. In 2023 she completed the East Coast Greenway, riding her bike from Key West, Florida, to Calais, Maine.
