A Message from Mass Rivers

As people on the planet, we are connected. We are connected by our shared experiences, and our shared humanity, much as rivers connect our communities. The board and staff at Mass Rivers Alliance would like to make clear that we stand for social and environmental justice, and for solidarity among all people, regardless of race, creed or color.

Black lives matter. We join with those who call out the names of George Floyd and too many others in anger and sorrow. We stand with those who know racism in America is systemic and pervasive. We believe that environmental and social justice are critically linked.

At Mass Rivers, we are committed not only to be more aware of racism and social injustice in our work and practices, but actively to do something about it. We have work to do.

Sincerely,

Julia Blatt Executive Director Massachusetts Rivers Alliance
